The Red Sands is one of the greatest deserts of Central Asia. Occupying an area of 300 thousand sq. km, Kyzylkum is located between the rivers Amudarya and Syrdarya on the territory of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and partially Turkmenistan. The place is rich in flora and fauna: among saxaul and wild tulips there are turtles, snakes, foxes and even antelopes. Moreover, in the middle of the desert, there is a large, drainage-free lake Aidarkul, which provides a wonderful habitat for many fish and birds.
Besides visiting the top 4 cities of the country, the tour to Kyzylkum desert includes such exciting activities as riding a camel in the Kyzylkum desert, spending the night in a yurt camp, singing with akin (a poet-improviser), swimming in the Aydarkul lake, picnics, visiting the holy spring in Nurata and observing rock drawings dating back to from the time of the Mesolithic to the late Middle Ages.
